Uplifting.........

I don't want to take credit for finding this guy so go to this
link (my friend Dev's blog) and take the 10 minutes to listen to this guy talk. It is a clip from the Oprah show about Randy Pausch. WOW.......... inspiring. I swear I need the transcripts so I can underline things he said.

Biting Eyes

I was talking with the kids about what would happen if they were lost somewhere. I asked them how they would describe me so that they could find me. All was going well.........Riley was able to know she could describe me physically and what I would be wearing and where she saw me last. Things turned for the worse...........Madison said she would tell the people helping her that I looked like a wolf (woof) with whiskers like a cat and biting eyes. What does that even mean? Is that a metaphore? Is that literal? Do I need to shave?

Poop Happens

Sometimes poop happens because you are in a life induced coma. We just came back from a busy week of visiting family and camping. Six people in a trailer is not a vacation. Max and I succumbed quickly to sleep...................
Yes people, I sleep with my baby. Although I am sure this is one of the reasons experts advise against it.

Luckily because of the blankets, you can't tell that he was nursing when we both fell asleep.
Look very, very closely and you will see, even though I look like I am dead......... 'Good Mama' still has a death grip on Max's leg............see, right there under the pillow. Sheesh people, I never would have let him fall.

The Great American Past Time..........

Happy 4th everyone!!
Darned if I couldn't convert and load the video I wanted to put on here...............so you have to just peek at the stills. It goes faster but isn't as cool Riley with her team Utah Power and Light Credit Union on opening day.
Riley pitching. This was awesome video, you'll just have to take my word for it. She is even more fun to watch outfield and batting. Probably I think that because I am her mom so just believe me when I say you should wish you were there.

Closing day of the season. Ri with her trophy. She had an awesome first season and we are semi lookin forward to next year:)

TAG

Tag...I'm it

~So here's how this "Tag" works people. List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts about yourself. Then tag 5 people at the end of your post and leave them a comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

I will sound sappy and dorky, but I will do it. Feel free to feel tagged if you read this..............

3 Joys~
#1~ Being sealed to my sweetie and my midgies. One of my biggest dreams since I was VERY little is an eternal family and being a mommy.
#2~ Being a mama and spending every waking minute with the sweet darlings. Even the rough times are better than no times.
#3~ Faith and family. I LOVE the gospel and my whole far reaching family. I would be nothing without both.

3 Fears~
#1~ Anything bad happening to my kids, from illness to being teased and worse. The world is a scary place sometimes. Way more scary now that I have kids.
#2~ Failure at anything.
#3~ Natural disaster. I love monster movies but hate natural disaster ones. You can always plunge a wooden stake in a vampire but you can't stop Mother Nature.

3 Goals~
#1~ Financial stability........ even financial success.
#2~ To be a tender and sweet mother and a doting wife/hot girl friend to my man.
#3~ To have charity for those around me.

3 Obsessions~
#1 ~ Reading................ it is a serious near illness with me.
#2~ Babies
#3~ Food. I love it and that's no joke.

3 Surprising facts about me~
#1~ I am scared to do church visits......... to kids or adults.
#2~ I have had a crush on someone (not the same person) since I was three. I have wanted to get married since I was practically an infant.
#3~ I REALLY WANT to be a dog lover............ but I'm not.

Tag... your it! ~ Anyone out there with a minute to spare................

If Walls Could Talk...........

If our walls could talk they would say all they hear is the lowing of cattle, crickets chirpping and the pitter patter of neighborhood dogs breaking in and peeing on the floor............... The siding went up in no time at all. Now we are waiting for stucco and rock. Our garage floor has been poured and the drive way. Next comes the back steps and front porch.
Before walls....................... the kiddos in the doorway of the master bedroom.

Daddoo and Max check out the shower in the master bath.

The monster in my closet.

Kitchen witches
(Sorry about the raindrops on the lense!!!)
The house is moving quickly but the builder says it will still be months :(
Happy Halloween?

Max the Grouch

Madison bless her heart was HELPING me with this post and now everything is underlined!!!!

More importantly......... Max has been crawling and getting into anything he can grab. After dinner the other night, he pulled himself up on the garbage can, which promptly dumped its contents on him. As you can see, he is comfortably resting in Swedish fish, Mountain Dew, Hershey's Bars and the remains of dinner. You can tell he is content because his ankles are crossed. He didn't even attempt getting up.
Here is a better shot of dinner. Corn and steak scraps. You can't see the big pan of fries because we ate them out of existence. Max had soda all over in his hair and meat scraps stuck to his body. What a tasty dish. We laughed our heads off, took pictures and promptly bathed him. Gross!!!
