Progress

House update!! We have wood on the roof. Who knew how exciting that could be? Also, I drove by yesterday and there are shingles stacked on the top of the roof, just waiting for someone to be bright enough to shovel the remaining snow off. That would be silly though, considering mother nature can melt it off in a few weeks.

US

Shawna tagged me, so here goes.........
HOW OLD IS JASON: 31! But 32 is creeping eerily closer.
WHO EATS MORE: Unfortunately I can put it away like a lumber jack.
WHO SAID "I LOVE YOU' FIRST: Probably him because I'm a chicken, but I know he did say he thought he was falling in love with me, first. We were fishing at Pete's Hole.
WHO IS TALLER: Jason. I love that he is bigger. It makes me feel safe.
WHO SINGS BETTER: Neither one of us. It is like the sound track to a movie about a pig farm.
WHO IS SMARTER: He is. I only use my brain for newborn to 2nd grade tasks.
WHO DOES THE LAUNDRY: Mads and I usually although given a crisis Jason will pitch in.
WHO DOES THE DISHES: Usually me now that we have a dishwasher. In the near future when that life sustaining luxury is gone, I am throwing in the towel.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED: Me because it is closest to the door. Easy access to murderers and ghostly fiends.
WHO PAYS THE BILLS: Jason!!! That dear man knows my psyche can only handle so much.
WHO MOWS THE LAWN: Jason with Jack's help sometimes. How old fashion we are.
WHO COOKS DINNER: I do. But he picks up a wicked Chinese takeout because he knows it is the way to my heart.
MORE STUBBORN: I'm not sure. He is usually sweet and I am pink slip mean so it probably seems like I am more stubborn.
KISSED WHO FIRST: Jason kissed me first. I asked him to surprise me and he did. By waiting for weeks!!!!!
WHO ASKED WHO OUT FIRST: He begged!!!
WHO PROPOSED: He did. Outside in the snow, on my birthday.
WHO IS MORE SENSITIVE: He's super sensitive when it comes to the kids but given the level of hormones raging through my body at any given time, it's probably me.
WHO HAS MORE FRIENDS: He would say that I'm so mean I don't have friends, but we are probably about even.
WHO WEARS THE PANTS: I would say that we decide on things together and if one of us wants something more than the other the wanter is usually gets what they want.
WHO ARE YOU TAGGING: Everyone

Police Brutality!!

Jason threw the kids into the snow and did flips himself!! The kids thought it was so much fun. I had to be Jimminy Cricket and scream over and over, "Don't break their legs!" Riley's friend Kendyl let Jason throw her in the snow over and over, but when her dad (also a police officer) tried it, she screamed in true Kendyl fashion........"YOU'RE THE MEANEST DAD EVER!"

Snow Day

The whole Fam was sick for about 10 days with fevers and hallucinations and body aches. By the time it was over we were ready to escape. We took some friends and went for a drive on Skyline. It was beautiful. We all jumped out on top of the mountain and played in the snow. Here the kidlets are running off into the wild after being turned loose in snow that was up to their chins at least!

Linx the Minx

Why I love my little buddy............
He trills with his tongue when he is mad.
He doesn't really cry, he screams.
Riley and Jack said he sounded like a baby pterydactyl when he was born. All of you that have heard a baby pterydactyl will surely agree.
Nothing makes you feel better than being able to make someone so happy just by feeding them.
He is usually very happy.
He likes to roll around and chew on everything.
He can crawl out of his bouncy seat, which I discovered during my last shower.
He is so tasty to cuddle with.
I love to sleep with him all mashed up next to me.
He loves his woobie.
He sweats like a freak when he gets mad.
He hates to take baths!!!
He can't stand to be naked and move around at the same time. The air on his body scares the pants off of him and he startles and screams.
He likes sledding.
He looks like Riley when she was a baby.
He is my #4 very last sweet baby and the stretch of his umbilical cord will someday break records because I will never let him go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This girl is bananas BANANAS!!!

Why I love my sweet baby.................
I told Mads once that I wanted her to stay my little baby lamb and she said "Mom, your lamb grew up."
She is so full of life.
She is beautiful to behold and her heart is just as pretty.
She helps me tell the older kids what to do. I should be ashamed of this because it is a direct reflection on me but, one night Jack wouldn't go to bed so she asked him if he wanted his *ss kicked.
Right before Mads was born I had a blessing and Heavenly Father said that she would bring me joy. I can say that there hasn't been a day that she hasn't brought me more joy than I can sometimes handle.
She wants to be a princess.
She wants to know when she will be as tall as me.
She is the BOSS. She told my parents that since she can't be my boss she is their boss.
She goes into Woobie Ecstasy (smells her woobie and swoons).
She puts lotion on my back.
She does my hair for me.
She likes to dance with me.
She LOVES popcorn and Dr. Pepper.
She can't eat WHEAT for Pete's sake so don't try to feed her any!!!!
She had blood tests and she took it like a man!!!
She loves Carebears so much she almost hyperventilates.
She loves primary.
She can sing 'Love at Home' (she calls it I see my mother kneeling) and 'I am a Child of God'.
When she prays she always blesses her dad at work.
She made my dad believe in angels.
She was the last baby my Grandpa Marshall held before he died.
She would kiss my Grandpa Houskeeper to make him feel better right before he died.
She is very pure and sweet.
She wants me to call her Madderella.
She wants to be Belle and her dad to be the Beast.
She told Riley the other night that she (Mad) is half a boss and she can tell Riley what to do.
She paints my fingernails.
She cuddles with me in bed.
She has her dad wrapped around her little finger.
She gets excited to see our house being built and she tells everyone we have snow in our kitchen.
She is strong and gorgeous at the same time.
She does whatever she puts her mind to. She refused to be weaned at 6 months and went without food for two days until I gave in and let her nurse again.
I am so proud to be her mom because she oozes success and beauty. If she were edible I would chew her up.

Gasp.......... Jack Attack!!!!

Things I love about my boy................

Jack doesn't just love he has passion.

I love to watch him really enjoy something.

He loves animals of all kinds and owns at least one toy of almost every animal under the sun.

He can buck like a real rodeo bronc. It's amazing.

He is adorable with Max and Mad.

He takes Madison out in the snow and shovels trails for her because her legs are so short.

He always tells me I am pretty.

He has a great imagination.

He is an awesome reader for only starting in October.

He draws the best pictures and cards.

He went through a water coloring stage where he would water color various wildlife and then paint a very bloody chest wound on the animal. What talent.

He is very sensitive and takes things to heart.

He is shy and doesn't like to be the center of attention.

He still hugs and kisses me.

He is a man's man, and loves hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and cattle. These are things are things he was born loving.

He is sweet when he prays. He still prays that our Grandma's leg will grow back. (She lost it before I was married.)

He is terrified of dogs.

He loves outside and will stay there all day whether it is snowing and blowing or 100 degrees.

He always hugs and kisses me at the end of the day and says he loves me.

He has a temper like a wind storm. It is ferocious and wicked, but once it blows out, it's gone.

His eyes are amazing.

He has the best head shape.

When he was born he was afraid of any noise. We played Skipbo in the hospital and he would jump and cry every time we shuffled the cards.

He's pretty funny. About a year after going to Disneyland, he said the only thing he remembered about our trip was that we never fed him enough and he was hungry the whole time. So much for those thousands of dollars.

When he was about 3 he had a little play rifle that had to be cocked in order to shoot. He didn't know what that was called, so he would ask me all day to trigger his gun for him.

Jack has a very old wise soul that I hope will serve him well someday.

Jack is my #1 man with the most adorable face. I am always proud to be his mom because he has the heart of an arch angle.
